Products & Quality

What type of stainless steel is used in your instruments?+

We use medical-grade stainless steel including Grade 304 (austenitic, for handles and non-cutting parts), Grade 410 (martensitic, for ring-handled instruments requiring temper), Grade 420 (martensitic high-carbon, for cutting instruments requiring sharp edges), and Grade 316 (austenitic with molybdenum, for laparoscopic instruments and high-corrosion environments). All materials come with mill certificates.

Are your instruments CE certified?+

Yes. Our instruments comply with applicable EU Medical Device Directive (MDD) / Medical Device Regulation (MDR) requirements and carry CE marking. We can provide Declarations of Conformity (DoC) for specific product ranges on request.

Are your instruments ISO certified?+

Yes. Stepwin Industries holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for our Quality Management System and maintains ISO 13485-compliant processes for medical device manufacturing. Certificates are available on request.

Can I request samples before placing a bulk order?+

Yes, we encourage sample orders before bulk purchasing. We can send samples for your evaluation โ€” contact us via WhatsApp or email to discuss sample arrangements and costs.

Are your surgical instruments autoclavable?+

All our reusable stainless steel surgical instruments are designed for repeated steam sterilization (autoclave) at 134ยฐC, 3 bar pressure as per standard pre-vacuum sterilization cycles. Our single-use instruments are gamma-sterilized and not intended for re-sterilization.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?+

MOQ varies by product. For standard catalogue items, our typical MOQ starts from 50โ€“100 units per item for first orders. For established customers, we offer more flexible terms. For OEM and private label orders, MOQ depends on product complexity. Contact us for specific MOQ information.

What payment terms do you offer?+

Standard payment terms for new customers are 100% advance payment via bank transfer (T/T). For established customers with a proven order history, we may extend 50% advance / 50% before shipment terms. We accept bank wire transfer (T/T) in USD, EUR, and GBP.

How do I place an order?+

After quote confirmation and payment arrangement: (1) Confirm your order in writing via email, (2) Make advance payment, (3) We send payment confirmation and production timeline, (4) Products are produced, QC-inspected, and packed, (5) Final payment (if applicable) before shipment, (6) Shipment and tracking information provided.

Do you offer trade discounts for regular buyers?+

Yes. Volume discounts and preferential terms are available for regular buyers and established distributors. We value long-term business relationships and work to ensure mutually beneficial pricing for committed partners.

OEM & Private Label

Do you offer OEM (custom) manufacturing?+

Yes, we offer comprehensive OEM manufacturing services. We can produce instruments to your design specifications, drawings, or approved samples. We have an engineering team capable of new product development, prototype production, and volume manufacturing to your specifications.

Can you put my company brand/logo on the instruments?+

Yes, we offer laser engraving of your brand name, logo, product references, sizes, and CE markings on instruments. We also provide custom packaging design and production for private label programs.

Do you sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA)?+

Yes, we sign NDA agreements before discussing specific OEM designs, proprietary specifications, or confidential business information. Protecting our customers' intellectual property is something we take very seriously.

How long does OEM product development take?+

For modifications to existing designs, sample development typically takes 3โ€“4 weeks. For new instrument development from drawings or specifications, 4โ€“8 weeks is typical depending on complexity. We provide a detailed timeline after reviewing your requirements.

Shipping & Export

Which countries do you export to?+

We export to 50+ countries worldwide including the USA, UK, Germany, France, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Canada, India, South Africa, and many more. We have experience with export documentation requirements for most major markets.

What shipping methods do you offer?+

We ship via DHL Express, FedEx, and UPS for courier shipments, and by sea freight (FCL and LCL) for larger orders. Air cargo is also available for time-sensitive bulk orders. We work with experienced freight forwarders and can provide competitive shipping rates.

What export documentation do you provide?+

We provide: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin (CO), Quality/Inspection Certificate, ISO Certificate copies, CE Declaration of Conformity, and any other documentation required for import clearance in your country.

How long does delivery take after order confirmation?+

Lead times vary by order type: Standard catalogue items in stock: 1โ€“2 weeks. Standard items manufactured to order: 3โ€“5 weeks. OEM items (after sample approval): 4โ€“8 weeks. Actual lead times are confirmed at order placement.
